Notebook 📔

Your private space to capture thinking.

Updated over a month ago

The Notebook is where your personal notes live. Everything here is private to you by default. You can search across your notes, edit or organize them, and permanently delete items when you’re done.

Notes can be linked to a meeting or document - without cluttering your private workspace.

What you can do here

  • Create personal notes for ideas, prep, and follow-ups

  • Read & edit in a focused list with detailed context on every note

  • Search & filter by text, tag, date, or link (meeting/document)

  • Delete with a Trash and retention window

Create a personal note

From Notebook

  1. Click New Note

  2. Write your content.

From documents

  1. Open any file from Documents or from a meeting’s Board Papers section

  2. From a document highlight or click Add note, choose Save to keep a private copy.

Read & edit notes

Simply click on any note to view and read it.

All notes are linked back to source material and also contain historical context - key linkages to old documents or notes so you don't have to feel deja vu "did I raise that before".

Edit or share notes in the same view for easy collaboration.

Search & filter

Use the search bar to find notes by keywords or phrases. Narrow results with filters:

  • Type: e.g., question, decision

  • Topic: The topic contained in the note e.g., finance, operations

  • Month: created range

Delete notes

You can delete one or multiple notes by clicking into one note or selecting the entire month.

Once deleted they are permanently deleted and there is no history of the note.

Privacy & visibility

  • Private by default: Notes in Notebook are visible only to you.

  • When linking: If you link a note to a meeting or document, no one else can see that.

  • Deletion: Any note deletes are permanent and irreversible.
